Assistant Director of Finance and Operations
The Assistant Director of Finance and Research Administration plays a central role in the support of Growth Lab research initiatives. This person is responsible for (1) the overall financial management of the Growth Lab and Building State Capability programs working closely with a Financial Manager, Financial Associate, and Grants Associate (2) all aspects of the research administration process, from proposal development to budget development to contract negotiations to invoice collection in collaboration with Growth Lab Program Management, HKS Research Administration Office, and Harvard’s Office of Sponsored Programs, (3) collaboration of post-award monitoring and reporting activities, ensuring compliance with HKS, Harvard University and sponsor policies as they specifically related to data and IRB management, and (4) overseeing the development of the Growth Lab’s data management processes and policies to uphold agreed-upon and school-wide security standards. We have an immediate opening for a part-time Research Assistant position at the Growth Lab. You will be working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team of researchers helping them to organize text from digitized historical records into data sets and concordance tables. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain first hand experience on conducting academic research in economic development. The position will start immediately and will last through the spring semester (end of April 2020). We are looking for someone who is curious, organized and has a sharp attention to detail. We require a minimum time commitment of 6-8 hours a week (this is a paid position). Pre and Postdoctoral Fellowships (Non-Stipendiary only)
The Growth Lab accepts applications on a rolling basis for Pre or Postdoctoral Fellows who are interested in conducting research in the areas of economic development, growth, macroeconomics and trade as part of the Growth Lab. The Pre or Postdoctoral Fellows will conduct independent research, while contributing to the vibrant community of Growth Lab fellows.
